Application Instructions

  1. Steps PRIOR to submitting an application
    1. Become a Citrus College Student - New or former students to Citrus College must complete the online application for admission to receive a Citrus College Student ID number and/or reactivate your account. Continuing students do not need to reapply to Citrus College. Access to the online ADN application will require a Citrus College student email address (office 365) and Citrus login.
      • IMPORTANT: Communication regarding the application will be conducted ONLY through an official Citrus College student email address.
      • If you need further assistance regarding your Citrus College email address and/or login -- please contact TeC Services.
    2. Attend an ADN Application Workshop - Students are highly encouraged to attend an application workshop. ADN Application workshops and attendance will not be recorded. Visit the ADN website for more details.
    3. Meet with a Nursing Counselor - Students are highly encouraged to meet with a nursing counselor to discuss eligibility requirements and to get clarification on whether the courses you took outside of Citrus College will be equivalent to ours.     4. Submit ALL official college/university transcripts – Students MUST submit all official transcripts (regardless of applicability to nursing) to Admissions and Records TWO WEEKS PRIOR to submitting the ADN application. Official electronic transcripts can be sent to Citrus College’s Admissions and Records Office at admissions@citruscollege.edu via parchment.com or other electronic sources. Citrus College transcripts do need to be requested. Official sealed, paper transcripts can be dropped off in person at the Citrus College Admissions and Records Office during regular business hours, or mailed to

      • Please plan accordingly to send your official college transcripts to Admissions and Records and allow up to 2 weeks for processing. You can verify transcripts have arrived via email or by communicating with Admissions staff member, Sophia Rivera, via phone at (626) 914-8513 or Citrus College Student Support before submitting your ADN application. The ADN program cannot verify if your transcripts were received. If official transcripts are not on file at the time of evaluation, you will receive a non-qualified letter.
  2. Steps DURING Application Period
    1. Complete all sections of the ADN Online Application. Incomplete applications will not be accepted – there are no exceptions.
    2. Students are only permitted to apply once per application period. There are no exceptions.
    3. Upload all required and relevant supporting documentation.
    4. It is the student’s responsibility to submit the appropriate verifying documents as indicated on the ADN Multi Criteria for Selection. Falsification of any documentation will disqualify applicants from entering the program.
      • Submit an unofficial copy of all college/transcripts in the ADN application.
      • If you have not previously earned an associate degree or higher, submit a copy of a high school diploma, copy of high school transcripts, copy of high school proficiency exam, copy of a GED, or a copy of an official foreign transcript evaluation in the ADN application.
  3. HIGHLIGHTS of Important Information and Reminders
    1. NO APPLICATION WILL BE ACCEPTED VIA EMAIL, BY MAIL OR IN PERSON.
    2. Students will be notified of admission decisions ONLY through their official Citrus College email address.
    3. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure they have access to their Citrus College email address and to check it regularly.
    4. Please do not contact the Health Sciences Department regarding the status of an application.

  4. ATI TEAS Information
    1. Completion of the standardized Assessment Technologies Incorporated (ATI) Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is not required to apply to the ADN program.
      • It is mandatory for all provisionally admitted students to have the ATI TEAS completed with a total score of 62% or higher in order to be enrolled in the subsequent fall semester.
      • Provisionally admitted and alternate students who have not attempted or passed the ATI TEAS within the last twelve (12) months with a total score of 62% or higher will be invited to take the TEAS In-Person proctored by Citrus College (held in May).
      • An ATI TEAS score is only valid for one year. The Health Sciences department will consider the March application deadline as the cutoff to submit valid TEAS scores from the previous year. For the 2025 application cycle, an ATI TEAS score cannot be older than March 1, 2024.
      • Only the ATI TEAS Version 7 will be accepted for the 2025 application cycle.
      • Multiple attempts for higher scores are not reviewed.
      • ATI TEAS scores from another location are accepted. Provisionally admitted and alternate students that have completed the ATI TEAS outside of Citrus College within the last twelve months must request the passing score to be sent electronically to Citrus College ADN from ATI online.
